According to the dictionary employment describes the condition of having paid work. In a lame statement, it is a fair exchange of money for time. So, what happens when you don’t need this person anymore? In today’s world you are stuck with this person and you still have to pay them, even worse when they are member of a union ;)

No, seriously, why do we have employment and why is this what you don’t want in the 21st century?

Only due to the Industrial development in the 19th century the demand for people, for employees grew. This is quite similar to a military system. The philosophy behind the Prussian education was to produce soldiers and employees, people who would follow orders and do as they were told. (Robert T. Kiyosaki – The Business of the 21st century) Do you still think employment is a normal human behaviour? This concept is only a fairly recent phenomenon of human history.

Prussian president

The guy who invented retirement

Retirement was introduced by Otto von Bismarck, the president of Prussia. In 1889, he kicked off a plan offering everyone above 70 a guaranteed pension. Interestingly, the life expectancy at this time was around 45-50 years. Therefore not a big deal for the government. But look at it now! Still wondering why governments around the world are struggling? There won’t be any pension for generation X, Y and whatever comes after us.

There is one solution … back to the basics, back to the Agrarian Age, where everyone was a small-business entrepreneur paying tax to the king. They didn’t get paid from the king. You are responsible for your own life. Do you think humans have lost this skill in the last 150 years? I hope not.

Muhammad Yunus, Noble Peace Price winner from 2006, introduced the concept of microcredit for the Third World. These people become small-business entrepreneurs. So it should be much easier for us in the Western World, shouldn’t it?

My team is learning to get the control back of their lives, be responsible for your own actions. And bHIP is part of their lives!
